Casa da Vigia da Baleia

The breath-taking view allows you to see the entire island of São Jorge and the canal, as well as bays and parishes on the beautiful and jagged north coast of Pico, with its undulating sea waves. The song of birds and the Atlantic waves are heard. Dine indoors or on the balcony watching the sunset, relax in the lounge chairs with a wonderful drink. All rooms have a view; living room with glass sliding doors which invite outdoors in. This house is part of a small family owned resort, where there is a restaurant called Magma, a grocery store, a yoga room and an heated swimming pool. Pink House private studio

Belonging to our family for 6 generations an old barn was carefully rebuild in 2017 and adapted into two contemporary guest houses breathing history and tradition. Our 30 sq. cosy private suite offers an equipped kitchenette and an open living and dining room and is ideal for couples or small families. The bedroom and living area are divided by custom made wooden furniture so we could keep the space open and full on natural light. The suite also offers a private terrace with outdoors furniture.

As Casas da Chaminé são recuperação de uma casa tradicional antiga. Foram cuidadosamente criadas de forma a promover uma vivência em contexto rural em casa típica, num ambiente moderno e confortável. Constituída por três casas independentes, dispõe ainda de um amplo jardim com piscina, uma pequena horta e pomar e um alpendre com churrasqueia (partilhados por todos hospedes). A vista é estonteante, mar e montanha ao alcance do olhar. A tranquilidade impera. Aqui... temos sido muito felizes.

Green House - Between the sea and the mountains

From the Green House, you can see São Jorge, Pico and Graciosa. The three neighbouring islands bear witness to the time our guests spend gazing at them. They are vain and like to be admired. They are uninhibited, exposing themselves to those who want to see them. The Green House, situated in the middle of the farm, is a balancing point between the different views. From its windows, you can see the sea, the mountains, the cerrados and Pico da Vigia.

Located in the Azores, on the north coast of the island of São Miguel, Pico do Refúgio is a place that dates the beginning of the XVII century. During the past three hundred years served it many different purposes, among these, fortress for militias, artist residence, orange tree plantations and tea factory. Now the doors open as Pico do Refúgio – Country Houses, a place where the harmony between Nature, History, Art and the Ocean can be enjoyed.

Localizada numa aldeia de 300 habitantes aconselhámos a alugar um carro para deslocar-se a compras e ter melhor aproveito da Ilha de São Miguel.
