A swedish summer- and winterparadise

Wij hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad met ons gezin en grootouders. De kinderen genoten van het buitenspelen op de trampoline, bootje varen, vissen en zelfs even suppen in de zon. Voor de volwassenen genoeg zitplekken in en om het huis om uit de wind en in de zon van de stilte, de vogels en de mooie omgeving te genieten. Mooie wandelmogelijkheden in de buurt en de sauna was fijn met handige douches direct aangrenzend. Wel handig om te weten dat de tweede badkamer niet in het hoofdhuis aanwezig is. Voor ons was dit geen probleem. Stefan was op afstand snel en heel behulpzaam en vriendelijk in het contact. Onze vakantie begon koud, maar binnen was het zeer behaaglijk met de speksteen houtkachel waar genoeg hout voor beschikbaar was. Op het meer kan je leuk vissen met de boot met anker, handig om te weten dat het vissen tot maximaal 60 meter vanaf de kant vrij mogelijk is. Wij hebben genoten.

Staying in Kerstin's house is like living in a Swedish magazine photo spread. Everything is so lovely and so perfectly Swedish. We had a restful stay, listening to the crickets and cooking our own meals and admiring the flowers and fields and old churches. Kerstin was a very friendly host and communicated well. Would definitely recommend.

Fredrik's home was a joy! The expansive view across Lake Vänern included bird life, small boats and magnificent sunsets. We felt right at home - the kitchen was well equipped, the living area was cozy and the bedrooms were comfortable. Outdoors, we enjoyed it all - the dock and small row boat, the sauna and hot tub. Fredrik's home was private, impeccably clean, uncluttered and filled with natural light. We also discovered many tranquil, easy trails in the surrounding area that took us to other points along the lake. Some of the trails were even within walking distance of Fredrik's home. Groceries, local restaurants and a few cafés were only 15-30 minutes away by car. Coming from Annapolis, Maryland in the USA, some of the hikers we met on the trails asked why were in this part of Sweden. Our answer was easy - it's a magical area and we loved staying in Fredrik's place!

Fantastisk sted! Virkelig personligt, romantisk og gennemtænkte detaljer. Vi følte os straks hjemme og ønsker at vi havde taget en overnatning mere her. Meget venlige og imødekommende værter. Vender meget gerne tilbage 👍🤗

Beautiful 4 bedroom cabin on lakeside estate

We spent almost two weeks in Alvasjö with a family of 8. The place is nothing less than magic. A lovely house, renovated just the way it should be, leaving the historic parts and gently adding modern needs. Sara and Ed were really helpful, always there when needed and very easy to contact. Excellent communication. The area is beautiful, went canoeing, rowing, fishing, mountainbiking, SUP, hiking, Sauna ob the lake, mushroom and blueberry picking. It was not „just another holiday“, it was more than what we all dreamed of when it comes to „holiday in Sweden“. Will certainly come back, a must go when you want to experience a comfortable and exciting holiday in the middle of wonderful swedish nature. Many many thanks for everything, Sara and Ed!

Eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft! Es ist zwar eine Kellerwohnung, aber es sind viele Fenster da, im Wohnbereich hohe Fenster, somit ist es keineswegs dunkel. Die Wohnung ist sehr groß und toll/ schick eingerichtet. Es ist alles da und wir fühlten und sehr wohl. Die Hosts sind super erreichbar und mega freundlich. Whirlpool und Grill sind absolut klasse!

Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub im Haus von Linnea. Es war alles da, was wir brauchten. Die Lage ist toll, direkt am See, sehr ruhig, man ist wirklich abgeschottet und hat seine Ruhe. Wir waren viel mit den zwei kleinen Booten auf dem See unterwegs und haben die Sonne im Garten genossen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir hatten einen fantastischen Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen Haus! Wir haben uns hier wirklich sehr wohl gefühlt, sowohl im Haus als auch in der herrlichen Umgebung. Wir waren mit dem Boot draußen auf dem See und konnten sogar Fische fangen, was ein echtes Highlight war. Außerdem haben wir schöne Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemacht und jede Nacht wunderbar geschlafen. Die frischen Eier von den Hühnern waren großartig, und wir haben es sehr genossen, Zeit mit den Katzen, Hund Ronja, den Hühnern und natürlich deinen lieben Kühen zu verbringen. Die liebevollen Kleinigkeiten im und um das Haus haben uns besonders gefallen, und als kleines Extra haben wir sogar einen Geocache in der Nähe gefunden. Dank der warmen Temperaturen haben wir uns auch getraut, schwimmen zu gehen! Vor allem konnten wir uns vollkommen erholen und fühlen uns jetzt wunderbar entspannt. Wir freuen uns schon darauf, wiederzukommen. Herzliche Grüße, Julia

Vi var oppe og fuske så bolig lå perfekt da vores både lå 150 meter fra hytten vi brugte hytten til fælles spisning og lidt hygge om aften Jeg har spurgt Johan om en del ting og har fået svar inde for et par minutter hver han er er en super vært Eneste minus var at døre skal stå åben under mad lavning pga røgalarm

Ein absoluter Glücksgriff! Einfach eine traumhafte Unterkunft mit fürsorglichen Vermietern. Für uns war es das erste Mal Schweden. Wir hätten an keine bessere Unterkunft geraten können. Viel Liebe zum Detail, absolut sauber, und perfekt gelegen. Hilfreiche Tipps seitens der Vermieter für Ausflüge und die schwedische Gepflogenheiten. Spielzeug für unser Kind war genug vorhanden. Der Ofen konnte unbegrenzt benutzt werden. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. Komfort und Gemütlichkeit 10/10. Wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder. Barbro und Clas: DANKE!

To say we had a nice stay would be an understatement! The accomidation is so lovely and we had an amazing vacation. The pool deck is even nicer than you might think from the pictures. The pool costs a little extra (120€ for the week as of 2022), which would have been nice to write in the listing. Given the pool is heated and has to be maintained the cost is understandable though of course. The next grocery store is about 15min by car and the next bigger town about 40 to 50min. Given how nice the house is you might not want to leave though :) We had a lot of fun taking the SUP and the canoe out to the lake, we even had the chance to do this with our little dogs for the very first time, so that was a really great experience. There is even a grill, which Linda and Peter were kind enough to let us borrow. All basic spices, oils and such were also there to borrow. The surrounding forrest is beautiful too and there were plenty of mushrooms to pick. Lastly two things worth noting (These werent issues for us but might be worth knowing for others). Both the pool deck and the garden are not fenced in, so if you have small kids or dogs you will have to keep an extra eye out. And the larger beds in the main house are in separate rooms but the rooms are only separated by a curtain. Again, these were really non issues when you take into account how lovely the rest of the place was! So, thank you again for letting us stay here, Linda and Peter!

Hus och minihus m pool och spabad nära sjö & skog

We stayed at Louise's and Per's home for 5 days. 3 adults and 5 children aged 3 - 14. They stay was an absolute pleasure for everyone. The children loved the pool and tub and we all enjoyed the big terrace and garden. Their home is truly unique and the interior simply amazing. The house is located in the outskirts of a lovely town and there is beautiful nature and activities all around. Per and Louis were fantastic! Super responsive and helpful :) Highly recommended!

Unser Aufenthalt in Åsarp war einfach unvergesslich und das verdanken wir vor allem unseren wunderbaren Gastgebern Sandra und Helge. Für acht Nächte durften wir in einem liebevoll eingerichteten Zuhause mitten in der Natur wohnen, das keine Wünsche offenließ. Die Unterkunft war makellos sauber und mit spürbarer Herzlichkeit gestaltet. Was diesen Ort besonders macht, ist die ehrliche Gastfreundschaft und natürlich Cindy, die zauberhafte Hündin, die unser Herz im Sturm erobert hat. Sandra und Helge waren jederzeit freundlich, aufmerksam und angenehm zurückhaltend, einfach perfekt. Man spürt, wenn Gastgeber mit dem Herzen dabei sind und genau das war hier der Fall. Wir sind dankbar für diese Auszeit voller Ruhe, Natur und Herzenswärme. Tack så mycket – wir hoffen auf ein Wiedersehen!
