Villa ZIBA is located 10 minutes walk from the beach on Bali's southwest coast, in Seminyak, one of the most spectacular sites of the island, best known for its rich heritage, culture and less than 5 min stroll to high quality shops and restaurants. Breakfast included! Villa ZIBA was built and decorated in a contemporary style with a mix of Balinese and Scandinavian influences. Stunning materials like volcanic lava stones, massive teak wood, natural stones and hand woven ikat textiles are used to create a beautifully modern environment. The word Ziba means beautiful in Persian, one of the most elegant, flowing languages we have. The Villa features a large over flow pool with a sun deck. The main building has a grand open air living and dining area, 2 master bedrooms upstairs and 1 small apartment with a kitchenette. The home is just a 10 minute walk from Seminyak Beach, which is widely known for its world-class surf breaks, panoramic breathtaking views, and legendary sunsets. Bintang supermarket is just a few minutes away as well. From our lovely lane, it takes you minutes to walk down to the main shopping and dining street of Jalan Raya Seminyak. Seminyak Beach is a place to be from 8 AM when the surfing kicks in till 9 PM when after sunset drinks and food is served on the beach. Don't miss out on the infamous Bali sunsets around 6 PM. The beach is just 9 min walk away from Ziba. The daily rate is for the entire villa (5 bedrooms) for standard season. Rates for renting 2-5 bedrooms, high and peak seasons differ and are stated below. NOTE: The remaining rooms of the villa will NOT be rented out to other guests while there are paying guests staying in the villa. The empty rooms will just be unavailable.

Step back in time to a hilltop house with views across the city through picture windows. Exposed brick and the extensive use of natural wood maintain a mid-century atmosphere, enhanced by period furnishings and gleaming softwood floors throughout. The House Manual provides information about Jack's, as we call our house. We do not host guests with accompanying pets and smoking on any part of the house and property is not acceptable. If these rules are not to your liking then please do not book. Jack's Place is an original 1960's architect designed house. A master bedroom with direct access to the bathroom (en-suite except it is the only one!). The second bedroom features jarrah flooring and exposed brick wall. The living area features a unique view across the City especially at night. Functional kitchen and laundry, air conditioning and heating. The rental terms are for the whole house but if a couple book then it is expected only one bedroom is used. On booking it is best to clarify if both bedrooms are required. If not we do not make up the second bed. Jack's Place is a free standing brick residence with its own car space. There is a walled courtyard and front lawn area/garden (yet to be fully developed ). Cate and I live behind Jack's Place and both properties share a driveway. Naturally the drive must be kept clear at all time. More than happy to be contacted with any questions relating to Ballarat in general, food, wine and things to do. This 1962 house is in Golden Point, an old area in the City of Ballarat, about 125 kilometers west of Melbourne. These days the architecture of the area varies from 1860s dwellings, California bungalows, and modern high-density residences. Ballarat's main street is Sturt St. It is about a ten minute walk to the town centre and less to major supermarkets. Parking in town is charged via meter all week. On the edge of the central business district parking is free. Parking around the restaurant area of Armstrong St is difficult. My advice is to walk to dinner and Uber home. Local buses are confusing. Only a few minutes away is The Grapes Hotel, friendly and reliable. Ballarat weather can be variable. I have no control over the weather! We are perched about 375 metres above sea level, cold in Winter and hot in Summer. Summer nights tend to cool down. To keep the house warm and you comfortable, draw the blinds and turn on the heating. There are electric panel heater available in the house. Be very aware that they are not suitable for use when young children are part of the guest party. To cool the house, draw the blinds, close all windows and unnecessary doors and set the cooling for 10C below the outside temperature.

You are privileged to have Mr Sukra, the local legend, as manager (and other staff) on site daily from 8am - 4pm to cook you breakfast and clean the villa. He is also available 24/7 for emergencies (via mobile). Sukra will also help with anything you need such as currency exchange at the lowest rate; transport requirements, etc. He is multilingual. Surf and snorkel on Seminyak Beach, just 750 meters away from this quiet, upmarket location. Seminyak Village Shopping Mall is less than half the distance, while the many bars, cafes, and restaurants of Eat Street are within easy reach as well. The villa has plenty of parking for a car and several motor bikes. A short stroll up the lane to the main road (Jl Braban) that runs behind 'Eats street' (Jalan Laksamana) is an easy option to hail a blue cab. A cheaper and easy option is to download the 'Grab taxi' app and order a taxi to the villa front door. Mr Sukra, the villa manager, will happily assist with organising any transportation requirements. We have a very reliable, bubbly and trustworthy nanny available upon request.
