Wir - mein 20-jähriger Sohn & ich - waren zu zweit auf Borneorundreise & legten einen Stop in Mabul ein, um etwas zu tauchen. Unsere Wahl für die Unterkunft fiel auf die Mabul Paradies Lodge. Sehr authentisch. Toller Gastgeber David (The Boss) mit extrem freundlichem & hilfsbereitem Personal. Alle Tauchgänge wurden perfekt organisiert & der Tauchlehrer Eddie & sein Dive Master Nelson waren klasse. Das landestypische asiatische Essen war top & konnte durch den Kauf von frisch gefangenen Meeresfrüchten & Fischen toll aufgewertet werden. Die Meeresfrüchte & Fische wurden zur gewünschten Zeit von der hauseigenen Küche extrem lecker zubereitet. Manchmal steht auch David selbst in der Küche. Bei unserem Aufenthalt hat er Krebse und Riesengarnelen sowie eine chinesische Suppe zubereitet & uns dazu eingeladen mitzuessen. Alles nach Familienrezept; köstlich!!! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Unsere Erwartungen wurden mehr als erfüllt. Wir haben uns bei David & seinem Team sehr wohl gefühlt.

Absolutely outstanding stay. Everything is as pictured and Melissa went above and beyond to make me comfortable. She had the heater on for my arrival and sent a message each day to check if I needed anything. Lovely and quiet location. Lots of fish. I can’t recommend River Wren enough.

This place is underrated to the max. One of the most unique and beautiful stays we could have. A small piece of heaven. Wished we were staying longer.

Great views across the river. The electric blinds meant you could lie in bed and take it all in even before getting out of bed.

From the moment you book a stay at Cristal, you know you have made a great choice. The communication from Ron is friendly & informative. Check in details are clear and easy to follow Once you then arrive at Cristal, your mind will be blown! It is stunning. Everything has been considered and thought of. Seriously everything! All you have to do, is walk in and relax! Fully stocked kitchen, wine glasses a plenty, coffee machine & pods, bbq, kayaks, life jackets, beach towels, shampoo, etc. Everything is at your finger tips. The only issue we had was deciding where to sit! There are so many perfect spots to enjoy both Cristal & the stunning surroundings! The perfect place to relax! My only regret is that I didn’t stay for longer! 🥰

Exceeded our expectations. Such a relaxing stay with beautiful surrounds, tastefully designed and furnished. The most comfortable bed we have encountered during Air bnb stays. Well equiped with everything we needed for our two night stay. Definitely recommend and if we travel to this area again will be our first pick.

We had the most magical stay at Idle House. The location is truly special — peaceful, scenic, and the perfect water escape. The house itself is thoughtfully and beautifully designed, with every detail considered. We instantly felt relaxed and at home. The beds are absolute heaven. Possibly the most comfortable sleep we’ve had in ages — you’ll be hard-pressed to get up in the morning. One small (and kind of hilarious) word of warning: the sauna next door is quite the scene! Just after 7am, expect the sound of brave souls flinging themselves off the deck and screaming as they make their icy dash post-sauna. It's a bit of a shock if you're sleeping in the front bedroom — but also weirdly entertaining once you're awake. All in all, a truly special place. We loved our getaway and would come back in a heartbeat. Thanks for having us.

The boat was clean, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It also had a small deck where we could sit outside and enjoy the fresh air, which was perfect for sipping coffee in the mornings. Location-wise, it’s convenient enough to access local attractions, but still far enough away to offer a sense of tranquility and escape from the bustle of daily life. If you’re looking for a unique and peaceful getaway, this boat sleeping house is the perfect choice. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and memorable stay on the water!

As well as being the most unusual bnb we’ve stayed at, the PS Julie Fay paddle boat was a wonderful place for us to relax. Moored on a beautiful and peaceful stretch of the Murray, it came with lovely river views and a good variety of bird life, including a resident eastern great egret. The clean and modern facilities made our stay very comfortable, and we were impressed by the generous welcome pack that included diet-specific bread and milk (the host asked about dietary requirements when we booked). I have been on the Murray River twice before on Houseboat Holidays but this is the first time I haven't been anywhere on the Houseboat. The location couldn't be any more perfect. Enormouse gums, birdlife and total, absolute silence the whole time. Even though it was a long weekend there was noone within cooee! Apart from one houseboat quietly passing one morning, the only other traffic on the river were pelicans. No speed boats, no jet skis. An absolutely stunning place to stay. We will definitely be back.

We were delighted that Deanne was able to accommodate us at such short notice. The boat was amazing and we enjoyed 2 perfect days watching the wildlife, sunsets and stars on the river. Would absolutely recommend!
