Homely and peaceful 17th century cottage in the heart of Burgh-by-Sands, on Hadrian's Wall Path. Carlisle - 5 miles. Comfortably sleeping four (plus infant), in two double bedrooms, one with ensuite cloakroom, the house has a kitchen/dining/living space, cosy living room and spacious garden, with very little light pollution, ideal for star gazing. Ample parking Perfect for exploring the wildlife of the Solway Coast, Carlisle, Scotland, and the Lake District which is an easy 30min drive.

Larriston Coach House, for a very rural stay

Larriston Coach House is a large four-bedroomed cottage, part of a very rural 19th century farm steading on 28 acres, with 2,500 acres of hillside starting at the doorstep. It's right on the Scottish Border, close to Kielder and Newcastleton (both five miles away), and ideal for visiting Kielder observatory, Kielder Forest, the Borders or north Northumberland. There’s plenty of space, inside and out. The skies are dark, the mobile reception is zero and the silence is deafening.

The Black Triangle Cabin

The Black Triangle Cabin is a peaceful getaway situated on our property just outside of Jedburgh, a historic town in the heart of the Scottish Borders. The Cabin sleeps 2 people in a king size bed, with a separate living/kitchen space boasting views through the woods and across the fields. If you keep an eye out, you may see the deer that pass through regularly, or even hear our resident owl. Ideally located only an hour from Edinburgh, Newcastle and the St Abbs coastline.

Ancient Castle above the River Tweed

Mary Queen of Scot's chamber at Neidpath Castle is perhaps the most romantic place to stay in the Scottish Borders. Explore privately the whole castle and then retire to enjoy your suite rooms. The antique four poster bed, deep roll top bath and open fire evoke earlier times, but are truly comfortable and luxurious. An elegant table is set for breakfast. Peebles is 10 minutes walk away, with a host of shops and restaurants, as well as a museum and award winning chocolatier.

Cleugh Foot - A Pink 3-Bed Rural Cumbrian Cottage

Cleugh Foot (pronounced Clue Foot) is one of the original buildings on the Netherby Estate, overlooking acres of parkland along the River Esk. Painted pink, this beautiful bolthole can be found down your very own driveway in amongst the trees... with three bedrooms, three bathrooms (one en-suite), sitting room with wood burner, utility room, entranceway, kitchen and dining area. Outside, find a pergola with hot tub and dining area and an enclosed dog area with firepit!

Burn Cottage - Home Garden & Hottub

Relax with the whole family or use as a peaceful couples retreat at this peaceful place to stay. Set in the hills 3 miles from the border town of Langholm. Detached home with a fully enclosed large garden and with no immediate neighbours a place to switch off and use as a cosy base for discovering the area. It is our home so please note there will be some personal items. Hottub included for relaxing outside under the stars and watching the swallows when they return.

The Eden Hideaway - Luxury Pod

Stunning views and walks, looking straight over the River Eden onto the Lake District fells. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this newly built wooden pod provides a comfortable, warm and cosy stay for people looking for a countryside retreat to relax and unwind in. Situated on Castletown Estate you can walk out of the garden gate and straight onto the river side with access to walks not publicly available.

The Silo Cumbria

The Silo is a completely unique holiday stay, based in the beautiful countryside in North Cumbria. Originally a grain store tower, it has been completely reimagined and renovated as a one bedroom home-away-from-home. The unique building has retained the shape and structure of the original silo with luxury amenities and finishes throughout.
