Forest Floor Guesthouse

The lower level of our Jewel Lake Home with a separate entry, and fun backyard. This is a recent remodel; an eclectic space with vintage wood ceilings and a blend of industrial+ modern detailing. We are 5 minute drive from the airport, and guests can enjoy Alaskan wilderness right from this space. A forested trail system lies right behind our house for walking and biking. Guests may collect eggs from our chickens, use our forest-side hot tub, stoke the firepit, or use paddle boards at Sand Lake.

Lazy Loon Cabin

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful lake front Cabin. Enjoy a cup of coffee and take in the view. This cabin is located in the perfect spot. A few minutes walk to the Butte trailhead. There is a reindeer farm down the street and a farm where you can pick some fresh produce as well. Plenty of hiking and fishing in the area. The views from the large windows and deck are stunning. Try some fishing, skating, kayaking, swimming or walk the trails. Grilling on the deck or a bonfire ( ask for firewood) overlooking the lake are great evening activities. Not the outdoor type, you’ll find this a peaceful place to unwind. Located 13 miles from Wasilla makes this spot ideal as your hub to exploring Alaska. We are happy to host your pet(1 dog maximum) pet not allowed in any beds. Excessive pet hair will be charged $50.
