Outdoor activities are available throughout the area: ample hiking trails, kayaking excursions, fishing, Lake Moomaw, the infamous natural, warm spring waters bubbling from the earth, etc.!

Enjoy a country getaway in a private river front cottage set in the beautiful mountains of western Virginia. Our home is surrounded by national forest and farmland on the unspoiled Cowpasture river. Near the historic town of Clifton Forge, you will find the peaceful escape you have been searching for. The area is ideal for hiking, biking, kayaking, tubing and fishing. Our home has recently been completely remodeled and furnished to accommodate 8 people, with four bedrooms and two baths.

Cabin On The Creek

Set in the beautiful Alleghany Mountain Range, the Cabin On The Creek is a custom-built luxury cabin with amazing views and access to Potts Creek on a private wooded property. Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek include the back porch, observation deck with Adirondack chairs, and walking path that leads to a stunning view of the Potts Creek “Sinks.” Enjoy the tranquil natural environment as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area, fire pit, and hot tub.

The Adventure Cottage at Craig Creek

Find peace and solace at the end of a dirt road. The Adventure Cottage lies at the foot of The George Washington & Jefferson National Forest with access to Craigs Creek. The name is a direct reference to the activities you will experience, beginning with the small stream you will cross to gain access. T.A.C. has something to offer most anyone regardless of the season. For the outdoor enthusiast you can hike, hunt, fish, float, or kayak. Two 2-person kayaks & 4 OSFM life jackets provided.

Alley Way

A small cottage centrally located in the steep mountains of the Alleghany Highlands, a region rich in history and a haven for the arts. This home provides the best of both worlds, guaranteeing a comfortable base from which to explore Clifton Forge and its surrounding area. Voted the "Best Small Adventure Town" twice in recent years, this gem and adjacent communities also provide numerous retail and dining options. There is something for everyone. Children and pre-screened pets are welcome.

Farm's Edge Cabin at Apple Horse Farm

This cozy, secluded cabin sits on the edge of a 1000-acre farm overlooking rolling hay fields. This is the perfect spot for solo travelers, families, or couples to relax, recharge, and enjoy the outdoors. Find yourself drinking coffee, finishing up work, or deep in a good book in the sunroom. Then fill your day with outdoor activities throughout the Allegheny Highlands. At night, grill out and enjoy dinner around the table. Then light a bonfire and stargaze before ending the night.

This totally renovated cabin sits by the banks of beautiful Craig Creek. The Hideaway backs up to the 4,600+ acre Grace Furnace tract of National Forest. There are no neighbors in sight and the traffic is sparse.Sit on the screened porch or relax by the water's edge with the fire pit. The water is usually deep enough to swim in front of the house, and you can float for miles! You can fish right from the yard and catch trout, small-mouth bass, rock bass, and lots more!

Enjoy our private & cozy one bedroom studio retreat nestled creekside in the heart of White Sulphur Springs. Located upstairs in Gum Store Studios (a home for Art & Soul), this newly built space in an artfully rehabilitated building is the perfect mix of comfort and history. Traveling with friends and need a second bedroom or just don't like occasional neighbors? Residence B shares the entry deck and is available individually or combined as a 2 bedroom/bathroom.

Cowpasture River front cottage on a 350 acre farm.

Charming 2 bedroom 1 bath guest house sleeps four looking over the Cowpasture River on a 350 acre working farm. Guest may use of our concrete tennis court and explore miles of hiking trails that lead to the national forest. Farm is surrounded by over 2.5 miles of the Cowpasture River. There is a gravel beach right beside the bridge entering the farm where one can enjoy wading and swimming. River here is 3-4 feet deep depending on the season and stream flow.

Geese, heron, and an occasional eagle fly along the river valley.
