The Guest House

WE DO NOT HAVE CABLE TV. UP A FLIGHT of STAIRS is a spacious apartment next to The Historic Masonic Theatre in the center of town. The building is built above Smith Creek and the comforting sound will lull you to sleep. The mattresses are comfy pillow tops and we have plenty of seating. You will be within walking distance of many restaurants and stores. Unfortunately this listing is not handicapped accessible due to the stairs and if you have any allergies be aware we allow guests to have dogs.

Unique & Cozy Gypsy Wagon on The Cowpasture River

Feel refreshed when you stay in this rustic gem. The Gypsy Rose is situated near the beautiful Cow Pasture River. With stunning views that can even be seen from your bed. Take a stroll to the river, or up the driveway to see the animals. Enjoy your coffee at the fire ring while you take in the mountain views or sit inside. There is a kitchen area, with basic dishes and pans for cooking, with a stove inside that converts to a heater and a small sink. The 1/2 bath is the outhouse located near by.

The cabin is situated on our multigenerational, operational farm. Experience rural life in depth. This unique stay provides endless opportunities for exploring and experiencing Mother Nature’s bounty at its best! Outdoor activities are available throughout the area: ample hiking trails, kayaking excursions, fishing, Lake Moomaw, the infamous natural, warm spring waters bubbling from the earth, etc.!

The Adventure Cottage at Craig Creek

Find peace and solace at the end of a dirt road. The Adventure Cottage lies at the foot of The George Washington & Jefferson National Forest with access to Craigs Creek. The name is a direct reference to the activities you will experience, beginning with the small stream you will cross to gain access. T.A.C. has something to offer most anyone regardless of the season. For the outdoor enthusiast you can hike, hunt, fish, float, or kayak. Two 2-person kayaks & 4 OSFM life jackets provided.

Come & enjoy a nice relaxing getaway in this spacious 3 bedroom home in down town Covington, Va. Sue's house has lots to offer; from the large private fenced in yard & spacious back deck, to all the household amenities. This house has recently been remodeled to accommodate 8 guests. The area in which the house is located is ideal for hiking, biking, kayaking, tubing, and fishing. It's also near the historic town of Clifton Forge. There is a paper mill in Covington that puts off a smell.

Escape to a serene cabin to watch the sun rise over the mountain from a screened-in porch or sleep in and have a river beach picnic later. Kayak, canoe, swim, hike, watch wildlife or just use River's Bend Cabin as your base station for many other recreational activities in the area. The back deck curling to the edge of the bluff over the river is sure to provide marvelous memories of a romantic sunset or family celebration. This totally renovated cabin sits by the banks of beautiful Craig Creek. The Hideaway backs up to the 4,600+ acre Grace Furnace tract of National Forest. There are no neighbors in sight and the traffic is sparse.Sit on the screened porch or relax by the water's edge with the fire pit. The water is usually deep enough to swim in front of the house, and you can float for miles! You can fish right from the yard and catch trout, small-mouth bass, rock bass, and lots more!

Charming 2 bedroom 1 bath guest house sleeps four looking over the Cowpasture River on a 350 acre working farm. Guest may use of our concrete tennis court and explore miles of hiking trails that lead to the national forest. Farm is surrounded by over 2.5 miles of the Cowpasture River. There is a gravel beach right beside the bridge entering the farm where one can enjoy wading and swimming. River here is 3-4 feet deep depending on the season and stream flow.
