Quiet country surroundings with so much natural beauty. Scandinavian-style modern interior the barn has two levels combining elements of comfort and light. The Birch ply interior, wool carpet and heat pump create a warm and cosy vibe. The Barn is set in a rural landscape overlooking a lovely large pond inhabited by local birdlife. Approx 10-15 mins drive from Dunedin city centre and 3 mins to historic Port Chalmers and some of the best beaches and coastal scenery Otago has to offer all nearby.

Seaside Retreat - view and furry friends

Enjoy a spacious (100m2+), self-contained ground floor suite just minutes from St Clair Beach. Enjoy complete privacy with your own entrance, two double bedrooms, a full kitchen, full laundry, bathroom, and dedicated parking (secure garage). Our family (living upstairs) includes two Golden Retrievers, Summer (9) and Neo (11 months), who are incredibly gentle, well-trained, and love people! They will likely be playing in the garden and would be thrilled to receive a pat from dog-loving guests.

Dogwood cottage

Watch the Aurora Australis from the beach or the sunrise over the ocean from your private deck. Warm, one-bedroom cottage, surrounded by wildflowers, has 3 beds and a cot. Kitchenette has microwave, kettle, toaster, electric benchtop cooker & airfryer. Ensuite bedroom has queen bed and cot. The spacious lounge/dining room has 2 fold-out double sofabeds. Ideal for a peaceful overnight stop or short break. 35-40 minutes from Dunedin via Brighton, 25-30 minutes over the hill from Dunedin airport.

Beach Feet Retreat, Kaka Point, Catlins Coast

Stunning sea side location of this beautiful new spacious beach house will provide a peaceful and quiet place to relax and enjoy the pristine Catlins Coast. Kaka points safe, lifeguard patrolled beach (summer) is across the road. House is located only 200m from the Point Cafe/store/bar and local play ground. Explore Nugget Pt and enjoy spotting the spectacular sea lions basking on the rocks. Hide away to watch the yellow eyed penguins arrive at Roaring bay. Local bush walks within 1 km.

Catlins Estuary View

A warm & cosy 3 bedroom house perfect for your Catlins adventures. Sit out on one of the two decks and enjoy a glass of wine taking in the stunning view down the Catlins estuary and out to Owaka heads. Drive times to local attractions: Jacks Bay Blowhole - 10mins Surat beach - 5mins Owaka -3mins Pounawea - 5mins Nuggets Point Lighthouse - 30mins Purakanui falls - 15mins Papatowai Lost Gypsy - 30mins My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups.

Conveniently located on SH1, next to the cycle trail and just a few kilometres from Lake Waihola or a 35 minute drive from Dunedin ... this is the perfect place to relax after a long day. With a full kitchen, you can be self-sufficient or choose from several other dining options. TV, books, games, and even friendly sheep for your entertainment! Karaka Alpaca B&B Farmstay

Escape the hustle and bustle of city life at Karaka Alpaca Farm stay, just 15min from Dunedin's CBD. Our 11-acre farm has alpacas, Buster the cat, horses and sheep as well as stunning views over the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean. Our Self-Contained Apartment is fitted with modern furnishings, free WiFi and views across the ocean to the Nugget Point Lighthouse from the sliding doors. There is a private deck with a table and seating. The living area has a sofa, dining table and chairs and a flat-screen Smart TV. It has a kitchenette with a stovetop, microwave, electric fry pan, fridge, jug, toaster and all the essentials. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. It has a private entrance and off-street parking.

Beach House

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Totally private, cosy beach house equipped with all the creature comforts and only steps away from direct access to a gorgeous, prestine beach. Nature at its best will offer views of incredible sea lions while out on your beach walk but be mindful to respect their space for your safety and theirs. Accommodation suitable for adults only. If you do not drive and will be taking buses this might not be suitable accommodation.

Tree House with a view

Stay in a tree house, nestled among the native trees and birds, with your own private deck, views looking over the taieri mouth river and ocean and straight to Moturata Island which is a distinctive landmark and can be walked to at low-tide. the Studio is heated by heat pump, double glazing, very cosy warm space. access to property does have a steep driveway but the view is worth it. Takahopa Bay Retreat is in the heart of the Catlins and offers sweeping panoramic coastal and established native Forest views. The Retreat was established by the Clark family who live on, and farm the surrounding land. The Clark's have been farming the 685 hectare coastal property in the Catlins for the last 25 years.
