Welcome to our family’s Batu Kapal Guest House. We would love you to come and stay with us in North Sumatra. You will find our beautiful traditional guesthouse a 1 hour walk or 15 minute motor bike ride from Bukit Lawang on the peaceful Landak River overlooking Gungung Leuser National Park. Sumatra Cheeky Monkeys is set in sprawling gardens interspersed with impressive lawns. Guests are lulled to sleep by the intriguing sounds of the jungle. All necessary amenities and mosquito nets, en-suite or close by or shared bathrooms are in each of the 5 bedrooms. At the guest house, every room is equipped with a wardrobe. It is a perfect place to stay to enjoy surfing, kite surfing which is walking distance away, the beach with an amazing sunset, hiking, ocean fishing trip and boat trips on the river.
