Occidental
Occidental is a sweet little town nestled in the Mayacamas (coastal mountains, Sonoma County). It is about a 25 minute drive from us. It has charming shops, family restaurants and historical architecture. To get there, you can take a scenic drive from Monte Rio or Sebastopol on Bohemian Highway passing giant redwoods.
Alexander Valley and Dry Creek Valley are spectacular places to go for a drive. Beautiful wineries such as Ferrari-Carano Vineyards are a treat to visit even if you aren't wine tasting. Go through the back roads and it is about 40 min. from us.
