It is a very good, well run cafe. They do great breakfasts, brunches & lunches. Off glutenfree & dairy free options too. The front of the building is the cafe & the back is a second hand bookshop. Be warned if you like browsing books you could lose an afternoon here!

The Book Cafe
85 Main StIt is a very good, well run cafe. They do great breakfasts, brunches & lunches. Off glutenfree & dairy free options too. The front of the building is the cafe & the back is a second hand bookshop. Be warned if you like browsing books you could lose an afternoon here!
Again a great wee cafe with a hidden sun garden out the bck for good days. They have the best selection of gluten free & dairy free treats in town. As it's not exactly on the main street it does tend to be a little quieter but we cannot guarentee that.

Ireland's only purpose built Opera house. The International Wexford Opera Festival has been running for 66 years. It moved into this new building in 2008. It runs through October & into November. Janet Baker sang in 1959, Mirella Freni in 1962, Ann Murray in 1974. Other stars include Michael Langdon, Jane Manning, Bernadette Greevy, Gidon Saks... They employ young Irish Opera stars & chorus. The town is always buzzing. There's a great atmosphoere. There is a fringe festival also & a series of shorter works are performed too. Out cottage is just 40 mins away.
