On the premises of an old bakery from 1878 you’ll find a local restaurant (est. 2003) serving Norwegian/French style gourmet dishes. Really charming interior with brick stones and art! And if you're into jazz they also serve that kind of music the last monday of every month.

Why not go for a solid brunch on saturday or sunday at this local and friendly pub? Also serving lunch and dinner. Or your can just have a drink of what ever you like, play cards or board game and hang with the locals:)

Indian craftmanship when it comes to serving solid, tasty and reasonable priced dishes by this family run restaurant. It is higly popular amongst the locals. Peak time is around 16 - 18. Orders are taken at the counter, then you help your self finding a table and then wait and get astonished by the staff's orientation and memory abilities! Sometimes they call you up to pick up the food other times they serve you at the table, depending on the crowd I guess. They also serve Indian beer.

This park is the starting point for a pleasant walk into a primeval forest in the middle of an urban area! Best during summertime, but also nice in the winter as long it's not to icy or muddy. The river is called Alnaelva.

I do recommend downloading the easy-to-understand-app called "Ruter reise" for planning your trip and "Ruter billett" for purchasing your ticket!" Ruter" is the name of Oslo's public transportation company.
