Close to our condo and amazing food. It is laid back, you order at the counter and get your own cutlery, but Wow! the fish is amazing! They don't serve booze, sometimes have to share a table but worth it and it won't cost you a fortune!

If going there, eat early so that you can see the ocean before it gets dark. Too pricy so I've never ate there as its a 150.00 a plate kind of place.

Makena Beach, super beautiful!!!! Huge beach, just be careful! There is a steep drop so the waves tend to break early and have been known to pound people into the sand.

A very beautiful beach and a wonderful paved walk bordering all the expensive hotels and their amazing beaches. Even if you aren't staying at these expensive hotels, you are free to go to any of the beaches in Hawaii. They belong to the people.

A great playground is there for the kids, and a really nice walk along a paved path along the ocean. We walk from our condo and weave our way down the residential area admiring all the gorgeous ocean side homes rather than the Kihei Rd which is busy and has only a few sidewalks. You'll see tons of wild chickens too! Watch the surfers, even a skateboard park there too and you can rent rollerblades and do a bit of that in the outdoor rink. Volleyball nets , basketball and picnic areas there as well. We walk in the morning from our condo and back, its pretty close by
