This is the closest restaurant and bar within walking distance from our place. Walk into this place and you'll be transported back to the 70s - it's a fabulous time capsule. Dine in or take-out Chinese food. Nothing fancy at all, but it gets the job done.

Parks & Nature
This beautiful beach is just a few minutes by car from our house (or a nice long hike). Russell and I were married here, so it is one of our favorite places in the world. It's a glorious spot to be out in nature and enjoy Puget Sound with a view of the Olympic mountains in the backdrop. Good spot for a picnic, a hike or exploring low tide treasures. There is a playground for kids, bathrooms and plenty of parking.

It's a glorious spot to be out in nature and enjoy Puget Sound with a view of the Olympic mountains in the backdrop. Good spot for a picnic, a hike or exploring low tide treasures. There is a playground for kids, bathrooms and plenty of parking.
This is a gorgeous waterfront park, complete with hiking trails, bike trails, kids playground and saltwater swimming pool.

This library straddles the Cedar River and it is an excellent place to watch salmon swim upstream during October. Follow a walking trail from this point towards the northwest and you can walk all along the Cedar River and watch the sockeye salmon make their journey to spawn.
