Nice terrace with view over the IJ river, delicious food from the wood oven, and good organic wines. It's also a cinema!

Very peaceful between the trees in the park. When it gets colder they build a couple of fire places to cosy up. Good food!

This oldschool Amsterdam Café has been bought by the neighbours to prevent it from going bust. It is situated on the most beautiful street of Amsterdam. So take a 15 minuted bikeride of 30 minute walk through 'Het vliegenbos' and sit by the water and experience the old Amsterdam Noord.

Rent a bike!
Amsterdam is best experienced on bike, like every local does. Subway (Station Noorderpark is closeby) and trams are frequent and cheap. But biking is cheaper, more fun and above all: Faster.
Rent bikes from Bike Rental Amsterdam North
Respect the rules, trams always have priority and don't panic.

Ferries
The ferries running across the IJ are free!
The one from IJPlein (close to the house) to Central Station runs until midnight.
The ferry from Buiksloterweg to Central Station (10 minutes walk)
runs all night.
