Located in a beautiful old home, this restaurant is rather pricey but loveley and, I think, worth a visit. In fall and spring there is live music on the patio. You can walk to this one from the complex.

This place is awesome for brunch and is occasionally open for dinner. Hours vary so check first but it is one of my favorites. Located in an old printing press building this restaurant offers a great atmosphere, and really good food and drinks.

The gardens are located on Jefferson Island, where the great salt mine disaster of 1980 occured. You will learn about the mind blowing catastrophe that happened then as well the fascinating history of the land and the old home that is still on the property and beautifully maintained. The home tour is outstanding. You'll also want to stroll through the lovely walking paths and gardens on the grounds. A gift shop and cafe are also available (lunch only).

Lake Martin is a beautiful spot to visit. You can walk, drive, canoe or kayak your way around. Amazing Bird LIfe. And Alligators!

Both an art gallery and a music venue. Check listings. The music theater here is hard to beat. It is small and there is not a bad seat in the house. The sound in the room is amazing and the music offering stellar.
