Take a stroll through these idyllic, canal-lined blocks, cross arching pedestrian bridges, and admire unique architecture and landscaped gardens.

Arts & Culture
The Getty boasts an incredible art collection including some original impressionist paintings by Money and Renoir. If you're not into art, it's still worth a trip just to see the architecture of the buildings, the gardens, and on a clear day, views of Los Angeles all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Pack your lunch or grab a sandwich at the cafe; either way, you could easily spend the greater part of your day here. Admission to the museum is free with paid parking.

One of my favorites in all of Los Angeles, LACMA has an expansive and diverse permanent collection in addition to rotating exhibits and installations that span centuries, cultures, styles, and mediums. One could easily spend an entire day roaming in and between the impressive grounds. Get lost among the 202 cast iron lamps that once lit the streets of Los Angeles and now make up Chris Burdens' Urban Light installation. Make sure to swing by Coffee and Milk cafe for a beverage or grab lunch at the LACMA Cafe.

And please do yourself a favor- don't leave without ordering at least a few guava and cheese rolls, a half-dozen potato balls, and some dulce de leche cookies to go.

Entertainment & Activities
One of the coolest outdoor venues to see your favorite band, this is a must if you're visiting Los Angeles. The Bowl is the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the host of dozens of musical events throughout their concert season. It's one of the few venues that allows you to bring in your own food and drinks, so arrive a couple hours before the show and enjoy a picnic outside before heading to your seats (don't worry about finishing it all, you're allowed to bring in the rest).
