Fantastic for a date night, fresh food, great wine, romantic atmosphere and if you book ahead ask for the seat by the window and you will have a view of the castle. Time it just right (be there around 10:30/ 11pm) and you can watch the fireworks every night that go off every night from the military Tatoo.

The best hot chocolate in Edinburgh. Book ahead if you want to sit in, its small and cosy and often hard to get a seat otherwise. Amazing chocolatey cakes too.

Swedish bakery and cafe situated right in the middle of the Meadows park. It's my favourite place to sit and watch the world go by. This park is lovely and often has local musicians busking.

This is a restaurant and bar right next to my home. If you arrive and just want to relax this is a great shout, used a lot by locals. Also good if you want a drink so you don't need to drive home.

Iconic venue that is very grand and beautiful. This is a must if you come at christmas time, the place is completely decked out and you can't help but feel christmassy. If you go in summer they have secret garden out the back.

Stockbridge has it all! A beautiul neighbourhood with cobbled streets, lovely coffee shops, restaurants and hidden shops with lots of treasures to find. Stockbridge Market is on every Sunday and a great place to wander about. The Botanical Gardens are nearby and a beautiful, tranquil place to be in the heart of the city.

Stockbridge Market is on every Sunday and a great place to wander about. The Botanical Gardens are nearby and a beautiful, tranquil place to be in the heart of the city.
My favourite neighbourhood! Lots of lovely coffee shops, gift shops and boutiques right next to The Meadows park. You can play mini golf on The Linksm at the meadows, go to the Golf Tavern to rent clubs and balls - just ask at the bar!
