Sightseeing
The fourth oldest university in the UK, since 1870 the main University campus has been located at Gilmorehill in the West End of the city. Designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott it is the second-largest example of Gothic revival architecture in Britain, after the Palace of Westminster. Its quadrangles and cloisters are reminiscent of Oxford or Cambridge and students have recently dubbed it 'Hogwarts'. It also has stunning views over the Art Gallery and the whole of the city.
