This is 0.6 miles 13 minute walk (2 minute drive) from my property. Large grassy area with joining natural preserve and trail head. I have partly bought my place because of this park. My kids were 4 and 1 at the time.

Tired of driving. Want to have fun with instead of tying them up with seat belts. Try the train or the coaster. You can travel all the way to Santa Barbara or San Diego. It is fun, the route is scenic the cost is reasonable.
There is also a Train / Coaster station in Carlsbad.
