Sightseeing
The center of the National Mall in Washington DC. Great place for taking pictures and from coordinating the rest of your activities at the National Mall. Unfortunately the elevators are out of service until 2019, so ono access to the top!

George Washington's State... A beautiful location that can be accessed via either driving directly to it, or taking a tour boat from the DC or Alexandria area. Wear comfortable shoes, lots of walking, and you will be amazed at the beauty of George and Martha's home (unfortunately no pictures allowed inside). You will also find it interesting who was the richest of the two... and the difference in the lifestyle between the masters and the slaves at the property. There is also a very detailed museum that provides a lot of information about our first president.

1750 Independence Ave SWIncredible memorial to the efforts of the united statese on this world changing war. It's eye opening to see the breadth and scope of what happened, and even more enlightening when you get the chance to see, and talk, to actual veterans that are visiting the memorial.
Entertainment & Activities
If you are in during Baseball season...take a game at Nationals Park. Beautiful facility and great entertainment time. Bit pricey ... but you can find great deals on stubhub.com for resale tickets. Also... park at a Metro facility and metro in. Definitely will be a lot cheaper than the $30 to $50 they will charge you for parking!

Bit pricey ... but you can find great deals on stubhub.com for resale tickets. Also... park at a Metro facility and metro in. If you want to just chill out and relax at the ole ball park.. this is the place to do it without breaking the bank!

Not as big and glitzy as Tysons Corner or Tysons Galleria, but about 20-30 percent cheaper than the same stores at those malls. So.. if you want to get store name items, but not place tourist prices, this is a nice mall to go check.

This is a new (2015) outlets center with well over 125 different stores. Great prices for name brands compared to what you would pay in the Tyson's or DC area stores for the brands represented. Go early... parking lot fills quickly!
