The Old House at Home is another one of our pubs so of course we'll recommend it! There's a main bar and big garden (great for the kids) out the back and on weekends we have a cocktail bar that hosts different music events. We also have "summer sunset sessions" on some Saturday nights in the garden. No table bookings, just turn up and enjoy yourselves!

Kingley Vale is known for its twisted and ancient yews and includes a grove of veteran trees which are among the oldest living things in Britain. It also has superb chalk grassland and is one of the most important archaeological sites in southern England, with 14 scheduled ancient monuments.

The palace is the largest residential Roman building discovered in Britain and has an unusually early date of 75 AD, around thirty years after the Roman conquest of Britain. Its many superb mosaic floors dating from this period make it even more exceptional.
Much of the palace has been excavated and is preserved, along with an on-site museum. The rectangular palace surrounded formal gardens, the northern parts of which have been reconstructed.

The South Downs is the main supply of the freshwater lake, which has become the centre for waterbased activies such as wakeboarding, paddleboarding, waterskiing, monoskiing, wakeskating, wakesurfing and knee-boarding on the South Coast. It also has an inflatable water park. Booking advised.
