This is an amazing beach, with lots of space to spread out. Even when it's crowded there is plenty of room for activities. Note: During the summer there will often be a long line of cars to enter the beach, and signs saying that the parking lot is full, but usually it's not too hard to find a spot even when the signs are up.

Note: During the summer there will often be a long line of cars to enter the beach, and signs saying that the parking lot is full, but usually it's not too hard to find a spot even when the signs are up.
Tunnel park is a very nice beach right on Lake Michigan, only one mile from our house. There is a playground there, and the beach is dog-friendly during the winter. Note: You have to climb quite a few steps to get over a dune in order to reach the beach. There is no entry fee to the park, and it is often less busy than the state park.
