Good pho, Vietnamese pork rolls (banh mi) and fresh rice paper spring rolls (they also have a great selection of Asian cooking ingredients). Please note that the Laughing Elephant is only open from 9:30am - 3:30pm on Saturdays and 10am - 3:30pm on Sundays and public holidays. During the week they are open from 9am to 5pm but get there early as the food often sells out! Also a great place for Asian groceries.

Great for children, the Wentworth Falls Lake picnic area is just a few minutes' drive away. It has public BBQs, ducks living along the lake and two children’s playgrounds ... one of which is a pirate ship!

Parks & Nature
There are walking tracks from the back of the cottage to the Valley of the Waters and beautiful Empress Falls. For the adventurous, there are groups that go canyoning into, and abseiling down, the Empress Falls waterfall. On hot days take your towel and swim at the base of the falls.

Empress Falls
There are walking tracks from the back of the cottage to the Valley of the Waters and beautiful Empress Falls. For the adventurous, there are groups that go canyoning into, and abseiling down, the Empress Falls waterfall. On hot days take your towel and swim at the base of the falls.
This walk is amazing but be prepared that you will encounter many stairs and a long climb back up the escarpment.

Located just down the road from the cottage, the Valley of the Waters has gorgeous scenery. The main track leads to Empress Falls which is highly recommended. Take a picnic lunch and explore the many smaller tracks off the main track. The smaller tracks lead to streams and smaller, enchanting waterfalls.

If you need supplies for your stay, Leura Woolworths is open until 10pm and there is also a small bottle shop next door (although we do prefer Leura Cellars in the Mall who have an amazing range but they are only open until 8pm).
