Great little market with fresh organic fruits, veg, beverages, snacks and other sundry essentials. Quicker than a trip to the supermarket down in Ballard, and much more pleasant! This is the original location of the two Green Market stores (the other out on 24th just off of 65th). A pleasant walk through the neighborhood from our Garden Suite.

Full size grocery store will have most everything. Park on the block around the store or enter the free parking garage on NW 57th St.

This is organic/GF/vegan food heaven! Plenty of meats, cheese and fish as well. The deli pizza is very good and made fresh, and there are plenty of other quick meal choices if you are on the run. Grab something to eat and head out to the ship canal one block to the South on Evanston and see the Fremont Bridge and watch the boats go by. There is a parking garage just off Evanston down an alley way next to the PCC market between 34th and 35th. This is also the general location of the Fremont Sunday Market and other shops and restaurants.

One of the best viewpoints in Seattle, it features a stunning full view of the Olympic Mountains, and a view of Shilshole Bay Marina below. Bring a picnic lunch or dinner if the weather is nice and stay for the sunset.

Bring the beach towels, beach umbrella, the volleyball and net, a picnic lunch and stay awhile! Walk or go for a jog along the beach and down the marina. If the tide is very low, head up the beach to the north and around the bend to find the Blue Ridge beach area - a treat when the tide is very low. Keep an eye on the tide if you head north, as the beach access back to Golden Gardens disappears under water! This park is walkable from our place through a forested area. Note there are about 300 steps down a steep hill (and back!) Parking is available at the beach and at the dog park just above, but it can be hard to get a space on warm weekend days.
