The trail follows the Potomac upriver for a few miles along tree-lined asphalt trail and then turns north towards Bathesda. Lots of runners and bikers here all the time.

The C&O Canal starts steps from my front door with a lovely gravel trail and you can follow it for over a hundred miles should you so desire. A great ride is from my place up to Great Falls (18+ mi).
