Parks & Nature
Both the Maryland and Virginia sides of the park are beautiful, with panoramic views of the Potomac River and great picnicking, walking/hiking trails, scenic overlook. The Maryland side is off MacArthur Blvd. and has much better trails & bridges right on top of some of the falls! https://www.nps.gov/choh/planyourvisit/greatfallstavernvisitorcenter.htm. World. Class. Kayaking. 15 minutes drive from the house. It's $10 entry, but that is for 3 days.

Absolutely one of our favorite museums! Great for kids, and the newly renovated exhibits are very impressive. A must-do!
