My favorite breakfast spot, their egg sandwiches are incredibly delicious, they offer GF and vegan options. Their hash brown with fry sauce is to die for. Just yumm!

Incredible street Thai food. Fried chicken is amazing as well as their curries. The vegan curry is a little spicier but delicious. They also serve almost everything with fermented veggies.

An eclectic place in the PNW that does Açaí bowls right. The only açaí shop that doesn’t water down their açaí like a lot of other places do. The owner spent several years in Brazil and makes all of their açaí from scratch the way it's supposed to be prepared.
They have many amazing fresh fruit toppings as well as other items like nuts, honey, maple syrup, toasted coconut flakes and nut butters. You can choose from a variety of bowls, build your own, or make a smoothie.
They offer other food items like avocado toast, delicious Brazilian cheese bread (vegan options as well) and oatmeal. All are great on a cold winter day.
They often have nitro cold brew on tap, hot coffee and teas, Guayaki Yerba Maté served in a gourd and rotating kombuchas.
In the summer the outside patio is a lush and sunny spot where you can sit in the sun or find shade under the trees.
Hands down my favorite place after yoga, on a hot summer day or anytime really!

Sightseeing
This is a 7 mile loop that can either be entered from a north or south trail depending on what you want to see. The south entrance will take you up and over the Columbi River where you can look down at gorgeous views of the cliffs. THe north entrance will bring you up to 2 lovely lookouts that boast a view of the entire Columbia Gorge.
I would say this is an intermediate hike and kids hike it all the time. It's a hike that you can take your time on, linger, snack and get lots of great photos. I recommend at least hiking the north side up to the lookout and turning back if you're wanting a quicker adventure.

Washington 14One of the most beautiful hiking spots only about 40 minutes away. Gorgeous drive. I would say this hike is a little more advanced and you may want to read about it before you arrive. They also require a Discovery Pass which a day pass can easily be purchased on your way by stopping at the Beacon Rock parking lot.
Since we do not have river access from our property, Dougan Falls is a great nearby option for swimming. It can be fairly busy during the summer months but there's plenty of space to sprawl out away from others.

Dougan Falls
17361 Washougal River RdSince we do not have river access from our property, Dougan Falls is a great nearby option for swimming. It can be fairly busy during the summer months but there's plenty of space to sprawl out away from others.
This is a lovely lazy flowing, shallow river with amazing pockets all over that are deep and great for immersing yourself in. On one side, you can glimpse the waterfall which is pretty amazing.
A great spot for a day trip to cool off and have lunch only about 10 miles from our place. You could even stop at the Washougal Mercantile at the top of Cape Horn Rd. and grab sandwiches, hotdogs, burgers or pizza. They have many beverage options as well as fishing supplies.

This hike is definitely worth it. It’s not too terribly long and I would say it’s moderately easy. It’s a little steep at the start but if you take your time getting to the top, you will not regret it.
The view from above boasts a panoramic scene of the Columbia River that is vast and wide stretching all the way to the north where you can see the top of Mt. Saint Helen’s. There is a lovely tree that acts like a bench where you could have a little picnic and soak in the scenery.
Definitely a must see!
On your way back, stop at Backwoods Brewery in Carson.

If you Google this trail, you will find it has both hiking and mountain biking trails and is a super fun adventure for either activity. In the spring you will see lots of wild flowers as well.

Lots of traditional Chinese tea options where you can sit for hours, read a book, converse or have a tarot reading. Such a lovely spot, fun atmosphere and delicious tea.

The bath house is separated by women and men only houses, but the main pool is not so keep that in mind.
Both bath houses have a Sauna and you can also book a massage. If you decide to add a massage, ask for Lo, he is the best!
Another thing to note is that they have since renovated the main pool house and it is much nicer than the photo you see here.

The bath house is separated by women and men only houses, but the main pool is not so keep that in mind.
Both bath houses have a Sauna and you can also book a massage. If you decide to add a massage, ask for Lo, he is the best!
