My favourite wine and dine location! You can even arrive by plane or chopper if that’s your vibe. Award winning wines, chef and wedding venue. Need we say more… visit just for tastings if you can fit it in to your schedule, and don’t forget the amazing art gallery onsite. It’s a must see.
You can’t beat a Leeuwin Concert either. Check their website for their annual events schedule. Tickets do sell out quickly, which speaks for itself really.

Surround yourself with the forest and the river. Great, scenic day for all the family where you can work off (in advance) the inevitable ice creams for the kids and coffee for the grown ups, on your return.

Awesome for the whole family. A must do experience that will suit old and young alike. Fit this experience in to your planning of exploring the south west. It won’t disappoint. Tour guides are friendly and packed full of knowledge. I can vouch for this being safe for those who tend to feel a little claustrophobic. If I could do it, you can too. Kids will love it! Head to Clancy’s afterward for lunch, or to Yallingup Caves House, all close by. Check out River Mouth and the surf while you’re in the area.

Towering karri trees, some over 60m in height, undulate across the valley. With sunlight streaming onto their smooth trunks, this is one of the best sights in the Margaret River Region.
The forest is an easy 25 minute drive south of Margaret River town along Caves Road. The Karri Lookout on the eastern side of Caves Road is an ideal spot to enjoy and photograph this amazing forest as it undulates across the valley. Boranup Drive is a fantastic tourist drive. With its hard limestone base it is suitable for two-wheel drive vehicles. The drive winds its way through stunning forest and loops back to Caves Road.

The forest is an easy 25 minute drive south of Margaret River town along Caves Road. Jewel Cave is an extremely well decorated cave, containing many beautiful examples of delicate helectites, cave coral, pendulites, a very large stalagmite called ‘The Karri Forest’, and beautiful examples of flowstone such as ‘The Frozen Waterfall’ and ‘the Organ-pipes’.
Fossilised remains of several Tasmanian Tigers or 'Thylacines' have been discovered within Jewel Cave's chambers, safely preserved more than 3000 years after the unusual marsupial became extinct on mainland Australia. There is a skeleton of a thylacine on display in the Jewel Cave centre.

Walkers pass through coastal heath, magical karri forest and woodlands to sweeping clifftop views, spectacular remote beaches, limestone caves and historic lighthouses.
The track can be tackled as a five to nine-day walk or enjoyed in smaller sections as leisurely half or full-day walks. Camp on the track, or choose from a wide range of accommodation nearby from rustic to luxury.
The Cape to Cape Track is accessible year-round.
Spring is best for wildflower and whale watching viewing. Autumn offers cooler days, moderate sea-breezes and spectacular sunsets. Winter can be cool and wet (have appropriate gear) with some diversions around the flowing Margaret River and other winter streams, but often means you have the track to yourself. Summers can be hot and dry (check bushfire risks) with the chance to cool off with an ocean dip - be prepared to carry more drinking water in the summer months which may be in limited supply along the track.
