Candidasa temple was built in Saka 1112 (1190 AD) during the reign of King Jayapangus Arkajalancana in Bali. This temple is a symbol of the unification between Shiva and Buddha in Bali. It is a temple with two shrines: the worship of Shiva in the form of Linga Yoni and the worship of Buddha in the form of Hariti, an effigy carrying 10 children, and two couples who do not have descendants praying to have their own children.
