Okay, this place is worth the 20-35 minute drive to Santa Monica. The selection of chicken and waffle dishes are AMAZING. They have outdoor tables so you can enjoy the sunny California weather while brunching. I take my friends and family here whenever they're visiting LA. The prices are about middle of the road ($18 for chicken and waffles) but the dishes are quite large and we always have leftovers to take home.

Drinks & Nightlife
This place is pretty upscale with delicious cocktails and a very impressive wine list. I'd say the price is worth it especially if you go around sunset, when you would have unobstructed panoramic ocean views through the restaurant/bar's floor to ceiling windows. The food is great, too. At night it becomes a lively bar. If you're planning on eating here on a weekend or if you have a large party I'd strongly recommend getting a reservation.
