We LOVE these tacos. If you’re a meat eater, the Akausho Picadillo is amazing, and if you’re vegan or vegetarian, they have a large selection to choose from. The salsas are what make this place addictive.

Small microbrewery with beer flights, and changing beers to try out. They usually have pop up food available, and it’s a nice low key place to have a local beer.

Wine bar in the Heights with happy hour EVERY DAY from open until 5. Can’t beat the $6 pitchers of beer, and $5 glasses of wine. The food is really good here too. Can’t go wrong with a bruschetta board, or anything here really.

This is a place where not only can you get the best fried chicken, but one of the only places we know where you have the pepino to buy a 40 of beer, OR a bottle of Dom Perignon. Seriously, go for the fried chicken!

If you love crawfish, don’t miss coming here. If crawfish aren’t in season, they have a large menu with Louisiana Cajun food options like po’boys, boudin, gumbo, alligator and crab legs.
Our personal recommendation is the Mac n cheese with roast beef debris and gravy.

912 St Emanuel StThere are a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in Houston, but this one in EADO is our favorite for pho, and other traditional Vietnamese appetizers, rice and noodle dishes. All of the lemongrass dishes are to die for, and if in stock, try one of the Vietnamese desserts!
This sushi restaurant is in the beautifully architected MKT plaza. They have a huge menu with traditional sushi options, but what makes them stand out to us is the large menu of vegan sushi rolls that are more creative and exciting than a simple avocado or vegetable roll. Even if you’re a meat eater, we recommend trying some of the vegan sushi rolls that are packed with flavor.

GO EAT HERE NOW! This is a blend of a Indian and Portuguese food. We cannot find one thing on the menu that didn’t blow us away. The paella is insanely good.

Another very Texas thing to do is eat Texmex, and Original Ninfas on navigation in EADO is basically the king.
Everything here is good: fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, queso, margaritas, even the soups!
