Arundel has a lot to offer - a castle, a cathedral, a river and plenty of independent shops. Beautiful strolls to be had by the river and plenty of eateries.

Historic town, home to the National Trust Petworth House and a wide array of antique shops. Lovely strolling for an afternoon.

So much to see and do in this unique place. Visit the Royal Pavillion (unusual holiday home of King George IV); stroll along the promenade and see the street artists; get lost in "The Lanes" - a plethora of quirky shops and eateries. Great day out!

Famously the largest village in England (more like a town really). Has a great coffee culture, with an excellent range of independent shops and eateries. Cranleigh has a sports centre with a pool and an Arts Centre which shows films and live performances. 5 miles away or a 40 minute (mostly off road) cycle.

An hour and a half's flat walk along bridleways will bring you to Kirdford where there is a lovely little coffee and bacon sarnie hut adjacent to the village shop.

Great for walks along unspoilt coastline. Stop for breakfast at the Bluebird cafe on the waterfront. Better still, park at Goring and walk to Ferring (35 mins).

Just 25 minutes' walk way, mostly off road. Serves great food and has a beautiful garden and terrace in summer: cosy fires in winter.
