Just a quick drive up route 56 (about 15 minutes) to a beautiful falls and trail. Mind the signs to stay out of the water and on the paths as the rocks are treacherously slippery and many have fallen with very unfortunate results.

Be prepared to drive to go out to eat.
Though located in the town of Massie's Mill, we are not close to grocery stores and restaurants. Be sure to bring in what you need for breakfast or snacks.
*Massie's Mill was destroyed by the hurricane Camille in 1969 and never really rebuilt.

Wildlife abounds
Because our place is surrounded by wilderness, there is plenty of wildlife. Please respect their space.
What we've seen on the game camera - coyote, bear, opossum, raccoon, fox, Big Foot (the neighbors dog) and lots of other small creatures.
We have heard coyotes, screech owls, great horned owls, barred owls, and frogs.
We have seen (physically) fox, coyote, frogs, box turtles, crawdads (in the creek), bald eagles, and many kinds of birds and other small animals.

- Be sure to unbuckle the top of hot tub before removing.
- Please rinse off prior to entering the hot tub.
- You may want to bring flip-flops to use around the hot tub deck and outdoor shower.
- PLEASE message host with any questions related to hot tub use.
