For being far away from the ocean, this restaurant has great fish tacos and tasty cocktails. Enjoy some tuna nachos and curry potato salad outside (or inside) after a day of hiking!

Drive through Debbie’s or dine in to get one of their famous spicy chicken sandwiches with a chocolate malt! Debbie’s is one of my favorite places to go after a day of snowboarding. Plus their meat is locally sourced!

City Market is the closest grocery store where you’ll find anything from food to cosmetics to cleaning products. I highly recommend going here to do a big grocery shop.
The Mountain Market in GL is great if you need a few items as they are pretty expensive and limited on items.

This market is perfect for grabbing a few items you missed at City Market. They’re pricey and limited on what items they carry.
But they do offer some produce, meats, desserts, and various cooking items (canned goods, spices, etc).

Sightseeing
Monarch lake trail is a 4 mile (relatively easy) hike. In the winter it is a 6 mile hike as the main parking lot is closed (parking still available). Crater Lake is a 14 mile total hike at the same entrance.
Monarch lake offers fishing and is a great place to paddle board or kayak. Plus it’s dog friendly!

Health Nuts
The Grand Lake Center offers day passes if you’re feening for a good workout. They have tons of workout machines, some treadmills, bikes, a yoga studio, an auditorium, and offer classes (yoga, total body, pickle ball).

Give the YMCA a call to grab a day or weekend pass! This massive facility offers roller skating, an indoor pool, mini golf, and some easy trails to walk while engulfed in the mountains.

Not into skiing or snowboarding?The Fraser Tubing Hill is always a no pressure fun time.
Plus, there’s a pulley system that will hike you and your tube up the hill.
Please don’t get it mixed up with The Adventure Park - which is next to The Fraser Tubing Hill. I encourage this facility as they are long time locals! The other tubing hill is corporate and they’re trying to monopolize WP and Fraser.

Respect the Wildlife
Do not approach any wildlife as they can be dangerous when stressed out. Take a picture from a distance and please move on immediately. Please pick up any litter and do not throw your cigarette butts out the window. The worm eats the dirt and the bird eats the worm. Small choice makes a big impact.
