The Rose Retreat - Northport, MI
Hiking Trails
This is my favorite hiking trail. It is short or as long as you want it to be. Once parked, I usually go to the left and continue left out to the water. Once I get there I take my shoes off and leave them in the sand under a tree to mark where I need to return. Then I walk to the right all the way to the point that juts out - and there is where I find Petoskey Stones! I have found them each time I take this trail - I can't guarantee you will, but you are likely to. You can also go to the Overlook which is a bit of climbing, but gives you a birds eye view of Lake Michigan.
If you go right when at the parking lot - it will take you along Mud Lake. The trail is a bit longer and also a good route for those who love a good hike.

Everything here is amazing! My favorite is the Curried Chickpea Wrap on a GF bun. My husband loves the breakfast burrito. We love the coffee and tea selections as well - you can't go wrong!
Keep in mind it is only open until 3PM.

Music in the Park is located here on Friday nights in Northport. The town comes to Music In the park and everyone brings a cooler with beverages and snacks. It is a perfect Northport night.

This is a prime spot for sunsets in Northport. It is only 6 miles from the Rose Retreat and worth the short drive. There are many steps - just throwing that out there if you have mobility issues. Otherwise, a true gem.
