Planning a day trip to St. John is an absolute must. A large portion (80%) of the island is National Park property so the beaches are preserved and well kept and just breathtaking. You can take the passenger ferry (runs every hour on the hour) or your rental vehicle (if your rental agency allows) and spend a day beach hopping or hanging around Cruz Bay. St. John is filled with great restaurants, pristine beaches, hiking trails and lots of historical sights.
