(Portinscale). Possibly our favourite place to go for breakfast/ lunch in Cumbria. Best enjoyed after hiking up Catbells or just to visit their resident Lamars! Famous as a Summer resting place for Beatrix Potter, Lingholm’s location is worth a visit in itself. Park here for routes up to Catbells (worth the £5 if you eat in the cafe afterwards as you get reimbursed.)

(Portinscale). Possibly our favourite place to go for breakfast/ lunch in Cumbria. Best enjoyed after hiking up Catbells or just to visit their resident Lamars! Famous as a Summer resting place for Beatrix Potter, Lingholm’s location is worth a visit in itself. Park here for routes up to Catbells (worth the £5 if you eat in the cafe afterwards as you get reimbursed.)

If you’re an Amber Ale drinker, Loweswater Gold will go down very well! There are many local walks to be enjoyed from here; around Loweswater and Crummock or if you’re feeling more energetic head upto Melbreak/Low Fell/Burnbank/Carling Knot/Gavel for great views.
