We highly recommend The Winery. It is located in Grand Junction on Main Street. It has been there since 1973. It is beautifully decorated inside. The service is outstanding and the food is phenomenal! The steaks were done to perfection.

Moody's is amazing! It looks like an old time speakeasy lounge. The service was wonderful and we can't say enough good things about their food. Everything was amazing!

This Mexican restaurant in Rifle is really yummy. Their frozen margarita is perfect on a summer day. Their salsa is so good and they also bring you a really yummy little cabbage salad along with the salsa. We had their fajitas with homemade tortillas, they were so good.

After spending a day exploring the Grand Mesa you can end up in Cedaredge and stop at this yummy cafe. The Reuben sandwich and the chicken sandwich were so good. They are only open from 10-2. When you're done and head back you must stop at the Red Mountain Ranches fruit stand. They have the best fruit and all kinds of salsas, syrups, jams and jellies and flavored honey's. They have really cute gifts. They also have this incredible frozen apple cider.

This is a wonderful restaurant run by the students at Colorado Mesa University. The food is absolutely incredible and the cocktails are so good. The service is amazing! If you can we highly recommend sitting on the patio.

In the summer the mountain is open to the bike park and hiking.

10379 CO-325This is such a pretty park with beautiful water falls and caves. The falls are a short hike from the parking area. The falls are absolutely gorgeous. You can walk on a short little trail and you are behind them. You can also hike a mile around the falls with more stunning views. Bring a picnic and enjoy the falls.

This is a great trip up on the Grand Mesa. There is some dirt road travel here. There are 300 lakes up on the top of the Grand Mesa and just a spectacular drive on Highway 65/Grand Mesa Scenic Byway.

This is a great trip up on the Grand Mesa. There is some dirt road travel here. There are 300 lakes up on the top of the Grand Mesa and just a spectacular drive on Highway 65/Grand Mesa Scenic Byway.
Great places along the way to go paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, hiking and just enjoying the area.
Here is a place to see wild horses that is easy enough to get to, and the horses are usually in the canyon within a mile or so from the trail head. The dirt road is drivable in a car up to the trail head. If you want to continue up Coal Canyon road a high clearance vehicle is recommended.

Colorado National Monument
This National Park is gorgeous. There are sheer-walled canyons made from sandstone and have beautiful rock formations. There is lots of wildlife you might see while hiking. Or you can choose to do the scenic drive, which is so beautiful. Nearby Book Cliffs is the largest flat-topped mountain in the world.
The Moab area is a 2 hour drive from here, and we have had quite a few guests drive over there for the day. The surrounding area is spectacular and a trip down through the Cisco area is well worth the drive.

The town of Ouray is another 2 hour drive from here and we have had a few guests travel over there for the day as well. This is a gorgeous little town with lots of wonderful shops and restaurants. A really fun place to go is the Ouray Hot Springs pool.

This little town is a must see for wonderful wineries and fruit stands. There are 36 wineries throughout the valley. The town has really cute shops and yummy restaurants. There is a grocery store where you can pick up anything you might need. They make incredible sandwiches in the deli which are so great to pick up for a day on the river or for a picnic. There are also a couple distilleries. One we highly recommend is Peach Street Distillers. They make all their spirits and the food is amazing. The pizza is fantastic and they have this elote dip that is so good. The service is great!
The farmers market on Sunday is fantastic. They are there June through October 1st. There are wonderful vendors with unique gifts, fresh produce and yummy food.
If you go to Maison La Belle Vie winery for wine tasting they also have an amazing wine slushy. They also have an amazing menu with yummy food.
We highly recommend The Blue Beryl Winery. There was not one wine that we tasted that we didn't love. Amy, the sommelier was fantastic!
Another fun winery is Ordinary Fellow. They do a barrel tasting with every wine they have on Friday and Saturday's for $50.00 a person. There is a food truck on the patio, called Le Snack with amazing food! We highly recommend the smash burger and tacos. There is this aioli sauce on the tacos that is incredible!
