This place a little hidden from the crowds at the main avenue, is well known within locals, for quality spanish food. There you can try some classic dishes, but you can let them surprise you with the specials. Booking is advice, specially during weekends. (check for opening times as they close one or two day a week)

Sightseeing

Here you could find some advice about the area and when having some free time
It can be convenient to have this modern and open air mall, few hundred meters away from the apartament, where you can find supermarket, and specially popular shops, like Zara, footlocker... quality and service on this strores would be normally better than those bazar you would find everywhere on Puerto del Carmen.

If you fancy half a day away from the sun lounger, I highly recommend the beautiful clifftop walk from Puerto del Carmen to Puerto Calero. I’ve taken this walk several times, the usual plan is to arrive at the marina of Puerto Calero then take the ferry back to Puerto del Carmen. The walk should take around 45 mins to an hour depending on your speed and how many times you stop for photo opportunities. I recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes/trainers rather than flip-flops, due to the stony landscape. Also, take some water, as there is nowhere to stop until you reach Puerto Calero. To begin with, you’ll need to head to the old town harbour in Puerto del Carmen. From here you can start the journey from either Calle Teide or Calle Los Infantes (which is a pedestrianised area). Walk down either of these roads with the sea to your left until you come to Calle de Los Verdes. At this point, you should then be at the bottom of a short but steep zigzag path that will take you to the clifftop. There you could pause at the top to admire the views. You are now on the coastal path, which is mainly flat with some gentle slopes. The first section of the path is paved with some benches along the route. As you have now left Puerto del Carmen you can enjoy the Lanzarote views to your right as well as the ocean to your left. You may spot the odd fisherman. Along the route, there’s a set of steps down the cliff that lead directly to the water. The water does look particularly clear and inviting, but please take care if you choose to head down to the sea. The route doesn’t have any guarding to prevent falls over the cliffs. At the boundary of Puerto Calero, the path veers slightly to the right and you can access the resort through the marina car park. Puerto Calero has a selection of top-quality bars, cafes, When you are ready to leave you can either retrace your steps, take a bus, or the ferry back to the harbour in Puerto Del Carmen.

From all the activities you can do in the area, probably diving is one of the most remarkable one. Nonetheless, during the years playa chica has become probably the most popular diving destination in Canary Island, maybe even spain. A mask and a snorkel are all you need to get to know this amazing world. The Playa Chica and surroundings offers amazing amount of sites along the shore to comfortably wade into and explore. If there is one special thing about diving, it is that it is an activity that is available to practically everyone - children and adults, young people and seniors. You just need to know how to swim. The sensation of flying through the depths and taking in the diversity of life forms, their colors, their behaviors, their differences compared to those we know on land, together with the amazing landscape of underwater volcanoes, make this activity unforgettable. Playa chica is the ideal place to learn about this world and it can even be done as a family. You are at an ideal place to start out diving. Taking a course or signing up for a diving baptism (test dive) will allow you to get to know the amazing underwater world of Lanzarote. The water offers ideal transparency, with more than 20 meters of visibility practically all year-round. The temperature of the ocean varies from 24o Celcius in summer to 18o in winter, making a wet suit or if you prefer, a semi waterproof suit, all you need to enjoy diving.

A small walk south-west, along the seaside would take you to the puerto de la Tiñosa, once a small fishing port, surrounded by volcanic cliffs, now is the center of a vibrant tourist activity around boat trips, water activities and restaurants. You would have a wide arrange of options to enjoy local fish with great views (specially at sunset).

This is the most Southerly beach in Puerto del Carmen. You have to navigate some smaller back road to get there and parking can be tricky but its well worth the effort. This little beach has some of the most amazing snorkelling anywhere. From the surface it looks like a normal rocky cove. Once you put your head under the water it comes alive with colour and beauty On either side of the beach are rocky arms leading out to sea. To the right is a quay for boats, divers and excursions. There is also a nice restaurant on the quay side. You can relax on the good quality sand or further back on the promenade with a sun bed. The water is warm and safe and great fun for all the family.
