Park Life
Just by far one of the greatest Victorian parks in the country. Hidden treasures. Nice people. Easy to spend a couple of hours there and miss the nuggets because you didn't know where to look. Easy to spend a couple of hours there and have a splendid time without the nuggets.

Sefton ParkJust by far one of the greatest Victorian parks in the country. Hidden treasures. Nice people. Easy to spend a couple of hours there and miss the nuggets because you didn't know where to look. Easy to spend a couple of hours there and have a splendid time without the nuggets.
So if you go to Sefton Park then you'll need to eat and drink. This is where you go. Love & Rockets my favourite but theres massive choice and something for everyone.

This is my morning dog walk from my place about 4.5k from mine around the park and back. Decent park. Built before the greater Sefton Park in the Victorian era. Its on the way to Sefton Park so the two can be combined into a walk of around 7-10k (depending on how much of the two parks you choose to explore).
I love this park above Sefton at times, especially in summer, because its closer and quieter and still a lovely place to be with little bits of joy.

프린세스 공원
Devonshire RoadThis is my morning dog walk from my place about 4.5k from mine around the park and back. Decent park. Built before the greater Sefton Park in the Victorian era. Its on the way to Sefton Park so the two can be combined into a walk of around 7-10k (depending on how much of the two parks you choose to explore).
I love this park above Sefton at times, especially in summer, because its closer and quieter and still a lovely place to be with little bits of joy.
Good pub
My local. I don't really go out drinking these days but you'll often find me sat outside here with the dog, a pint and a burger. Foods decent and good value. Staff most excellent and always pleased to see me (more pleased to see the pup . . . so it goes).

Good beer - simple quality food - great ambience.
If you don't want a full on meal but want to eat then go here. Think 'sharing boards' and simple 'small plates' for sharing. Next door(ish) to the Everyman theatre it has a creative crowd and is chilled, friendly and happy.

If you don't want a full on meal but want to eat then go here. Think 'sharing boards' and simple 'small plates' for sharing. Next door(ish) to the Everyman theatre it has a creative crowd and is chilled, friendly and happy.

Lovely Indian street food of a very high quality and wildly successful. Hard to get in at night and they don't take bookings. Easier at lunch times.

Everyday eating out. Proper decent and varied menu with something for everyone and very reasonable prices. It used to be my Full English treat on a Saturday morning after the gym (not the best but its a few quid cheaper than the best). Other breakfast options are decent too - Eggs Benedict, Eggs Hollandaise, etc.
Its my default for taking the parents for lunch when they visit. Decent selection of pasta dishes, baguettes, etc. You know the drill.
Its somewhere upward of cafe but not quite bistro.
Its very very popular - wildly successful with locals because of price/quality point.

Best Full English within reasonable walking distance of my place (20 mins if you put your best foot forward). Does other stuff but I've never experimented. Also good for coffee and drinks depending on time of day - coffee daytime - wine/beer/spirits later on.

Sightseeing
Take the air!!!!! Just take it all in. Its a lot of sky, usually alot of wind, and alot of the Mersey Estuary.
Theres an approx 12km walk from mine through Princes Park, Sefton Park, Otterspool Park and then back along the Promenade all the way to Albert Dock and Pier Head (Three Graces). then back to mine Long walk. Relatively short mostly traffic free cycle ride.

Theres an approx 12km walk from mine through Princes Park, Sefton Park, Otterspool Park and then back along the Promenade all the way to Albert Dock and Pier Head (Three Graces). then back to mine Long walk. Relatively short mostly traffic free cycle ride.

- History
- The River
- The Tate Gallery
- The very high quality museums
Avoid the following things:

- Spending too long there - unless you do a museum or three then you've seen it in a couple of hours.
PERSONALLY: I used to work in an office here and came here each workday for three years. It was such a beautiful joyful watery windy place to work with a massive sky. Love the place as long as I don't think I want to spend money (then run a way screaming at the tourist prices).
I walk through here regularly on evening summer evenings with the dog. Never the same. Always beautiful.
