Duck Lake Beach is a beautiful place to take in the sun, walk the dunes and relax while watching a beautiful sunset. There is free parking along the beach on the East side of the road and is also a short 15 minute ride from the Treehouse.

Pekadills is a staple of Whitehall with great sandwiches, great ice cream and a welcoming atmosphere that makes Whitehall feel like home to any traveler. Big Johns Pizza, Milan’s, Oh Brothers (in Montague)Pub 111, Dog-N-Suds and San Marcos won’t disappoint. Gary’s restaurant is also a hometown favorite for breakfast. There are also several ice cream places in town and all of the are easily accessible from the bike trails. The best part of our small town is that everything is within just minutes of the Treehouse.

Sightseeing
Montague is a small charming town that sisters to Whitehall and is home to the largest weathervane in the world! Just up the street from the weathervane is Lipka’s which is the oldest working soda fountain in all of Michigan. For those who don’t know what a soda fountain is, go into the store and watch them make you an ice cream malt that will take you back 60 plus years. There truly are so many shops to stop in like The Hokey Pokey in Whitehall, The General store, Pitkin Drug Store and Posh are a must stop!
Weather Vane Monument
4574 Dowling StMontague is a small charming town that sisters to Whitehall and is home to the largest weathervane in the world! So much to see!
The White River Lighthouse and Museum is so charming to see and after your tour you can walk the boardwalk down the White Lake Channel and watch the boats trafficking, go fishing off the pier or schedule a boat charter, relax on the beach or take in a stunning sunset.
There are many Golf courses in the area or maybe you would prefer to do a little horseback riding at The Double JJ Ranch just 15 minutes north of the treehouse. The Double JJ Ranch also holds a rodeo for spectators during the weekends in the summer. Check their website for details.
Now that we are hopefully moving on from Covid we will see the return of all the festivals we’ve missed so much.
