Best Viewpoints

Places where you can get wide unobstructed views of the lake and get most of the lake in the picture frame and are easy to find the way to. Be aware, that everyone and their uncle takes pictures from these, and although not in person, you have seen these views, they are all over the internet. The walk to the foot of Osojnica/Ojstrica, it takes 15-20 minutes.
A pile of rocks next to Osojnica hill. 15-20 min hike from the bottom up. A short ferrata. Rocks can be slippery in dry weather, let alone in rain or snow. Have proper footwear.

Viewpoint under the lower Peak of Osojnica Hill, 30-45min hike from the bottom up. The trail past Ojstrica rocks gets plowed field muddy after a few days of heavy rain, so best use the other trail in that case. The viewpoint will be devoid of its usual crowds if you go there in a downpour.

There is only forest on the highest peak of Osojnica hill. To the north of it, a short trail leads to the Velika Osojnica viewpoint. A bit over an hour hike, from the bottom up. On the way from Mala to Velika Osojnica it is also possible to enjoy a few views on the Sava Bohinjka river valley.

If you don't mind paying for the view, this one is mud free, if you take the stairs from the parish church square or the road that starts on the opposite side of the castle hill. Other paths are not. Castle restaurant is reservations only fancy restaurant. If you have a reservation there, you don't need to pay the entrance fee, but you can expect to pay some 50 EUR per person, for a full meal, plus whatever the wine will cost. At the cafe on the lower courtyard everybody can sit and buy a drink.

Absolutely best view on the island. 5 min up a trail with stairs. Was built as part of state protocol complex during the cold war and there are some photographs of politicians of that era, so history buffs can play 'guess who'.

Lakeside promenade

It's roughly 5 km, the walk all the way around the lake. The shore is largely free of buildings, so these 5 km are abundant with views across the lake and you get them in every kind of weather. Even when there is fog ashore, the lake will have, if at all, a transparently thin veil of it, giving the pictures somewhat mysterious atmosphere.
The promenade goes around the lake and is flattish, for the most part. Northern promenade is closed for motorised traffic. Southern side is not and no, there is no parking there. As soon as you walk away from the lake, you are walking uphill. If you walk into the lake, you are going to be wet.

여행 팁

교통편

For getting around, within Bled lake area, walking is best.

There is precious little free parking at the lake (most of it is closed for traffic anyway) and the town centre areas. A walk around the lake (5km, 3mi) creates lots of opportunities for scenic views, not only on the lake and it's island, but also on the surrounding hills, cliffs, mountains, some interesting architecture, lake birds and, with some luck, fish in the clear water by the shore.
준비물

Bring shoes for rugged terrain, hiking boots are best.

Places you can reach in fancy shoes: Lakeside promenade Town centre Castle hill (trail with stairs from the church square or on the road) Cafe Belvedere Everything else, including the best viewpoints, you can reach only by hiking the uphill forest trails. The walk through the Vintgar gorge ends with one, too. There are also a few very short 'via ferratas'.

Longer way around for baby strollers

There are plenty of slopes around the lake. Shortest paths tend to involve steps. With stroller, you will be largely limited to lakeside promenade and town centre, so if you wish to take your littlest ones with you on a hike in nature, you will need a baby carrier.
놓치면 후회하는 장소/활동

Take a leisurely stroll around the lake.

One thing to do, no matter how short of a stop in Bled you took. It's 5 km/3mi. If you are short on time, skip everything else and hit the lakeside promenade.
