MAGICBAND, FASTPASS+ AND THE MOBILE APP
For several years now, Walt Disney World Resort has been using a very efficient, secure system that allows you to travel lighter throughout your stay. It is the MagicBand wristband, which you will receive if you are staying at a Disney resort hotel, or the plastic admission card that you receive when you purchase theme park tickets.
Once your MagicBand or card has been linked to your Disney account on My Disney Experience (disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_CA/plan/my-disney-experience), you can use it to enter parks, unlock your hotel room door, check in at Fast Pass+ entrances (see below), charge food and merchandise purchases to your hotel room (with MagicBand only) and even add photos to your account. All family members have their own bracelet or card, which must be easily accessible. If you don't have a MagicBand and would like to get one, you can purchase one online before you go or at certain retail locations once you get there.
Fast Pass+
The Fast Pass+ service allows you to reserve access to up to 3 Disney experiences per day (character greetings, attractions and entertainment) and avoid long lineups. You will be given a one-hour time window for your three attractions, and each family member need only present his or her MagicBand or card at the FastPass+ entrance.
Once you have completed your 3 experiences, you can make another FastPass+ selection for the same day at an in-park kiosk or on your mobile device using the app.
You can make your FastPass+ selections up to 60 days prior to check-in If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, and up to 30 days in advance of your visit if you purchased your tickets online (disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_CA/admission/tickets).
You can reserve your Fast Pass+ experiences online (disneyworld.disney.go.com/en-CA/fastpass-plus), on the mobile app (disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_CA/plan/my-disney-experience/mobile-apps) or at a Fast Pass+ kiosk in the park.

ENTERING THE PARK
We recommend getting to the park turnstiles at least 30 minutes prior to park opening, especially on projected busy days. When you have entered the park, you can grab a guide map to help locate the park’s attractions and shows and to view showtimes as well as other details. If you download the official Universal Orlando Resort app, this information and more can be accessed on it.
Experience by Midday
The following attractions typically experience the longest wait times, so we suggest visiting them as soon as possible. You should visit the attractions in this exact order to quickly access them.
1. Despicable Me Minion Mayhem
Attraction details: This is a 3-D simulator ride.

Eat Lunch
If you completed the attractions listed above and it’s around 12 PM or shortly after, you should fuel up before continuing. If it’s not quite that time, continue forward, and take a meal break when it does reach that time. Then, continue where you left off. We’ve highlighted some noteworthy dining locations located in the nearby area, but if you don’t want to take too much time out of the day, you can always pack snacks with you or purchase some at the many concession stands in the park.
Leaky Cauldron
This unique quick service restaurant is located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley. It is themed to the dining location of the same name in the Harry Potter series. Here, you can feast on British cuisine, including Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, Fisherman’s Pie, and more.
Springfield Restaurants
If you’re not too keen on British food, we suggest heading to the Springfield area. Eateries in this region include Cletus’ Chicken Shack, Krusty Burger, Luigi’s Pizza, Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck, and numerous other restaurants. The names of these eateries indicate the different meals you can order—chicken, burgers, pizza, and tacos. There are a lot of different quick options for you to enjoy in this area, and they’re all situated within close proximity of each other.
Vegetarians and Vegans
If you’re a vegetarian or vegan, you can find quite a few meals in the park.

Finnegan’s Bar and Grill
If you’re looking for non-fast food meals, Finnegan’s Bar and Grill is your stop. This is a full service restaurant that can be found across the Revenge of the Mummy ride. The location offers starters, soups and salads, sandwiches, and other specials. Meals from each offering include potato and onion Webb, split pea and ham soup, beef stew, baked codfish, and steak sandwich, but there’s plenty more you can order. Universal Studios’ Classic Monsters Cafe
Located close by the New York area is a quick service restaurant themed to the Universal Monsters. Fans of horror films and Universal Pictures’ past will enjoy the level of detail inside. If you decide to dine here, you can order a beef brisket sandwich, a jackfruit sandwich, pizza, baked beans, macoroni and cheese, and more.
Mel’s Drive-In
This is a popular quick service eatery located directly across from Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show. This ’50s drive-in serves chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers, burgers, fries, floats, and milkshakes.

The entire resort is technically made up of three separate theme parks:
Universal Studios Florida
Islands of Adventure
Volcano Bay (water park)
and a massive dining and shopping complex area called CityWalk.
ENTERING THE PARK
We recommend getting to the park turnstiles at least 30 minutes prior to park opening, especially on projected busy days. When you have entered the park, you can grab a guide map to help locate the park’s attractions and shows and to view showtimes as well as other details. If you download the official Universal Orlando Resort app, this information and more can be accessed on it.
Experience by Midday
The following attractions typically experience the longest wait times, so we suggest visiting them as soon as possible. You should visit the attractions in this exact order to quickly access them.

Eat Lunch
If you completed the attractions listed above and it’s around 12 PM or shortly after, you should fuel up before continuing. If it’s not quite that time, continue forward, and take a meal break when it does reach that time. Then, continue where you left off. We’ve highlighted some noteworthy dining locations located in the nearby area, but if you don’t want to take too much time out of the day, you can always pack snacks with you or purchase some at the many concession stands in the park.
Leaky Cauldron
This unique quick service restaurant is located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Diagon Alley. It is themed to the dining location of the same name in the Harry Potter series. Here, you can feast on British cuisine, including Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, Fisherman’s Pie, and more.
Springfield Restaurants
If you’re not too keen on British food, we suggest heading to the Springfield area. Eateries in this region include Cletus’ Chicken Shack, Krusty Burger, Luigi’s Pizza, Bumblebee Man’s Taco Truck, and numerous other restaurants. The names of these eateries indicate the different meals you can order—chicken, burgers, pizza, and tacos. There are a lot of different quick options for you to enjoy in this area, and they’re all situated within close proximity of each other.
Vegetarians and Vegans
If you’re a vegetarian or vegan, you can find quite a few meals in the park.

Finnegan’s Bar and Grill
If you’re looking for non-fast food meals, Finnegan’s Bar and Grill is your stop. This is a full service restaurant that can be found across the Revenge of the Mummy ride. The location offers starters, soups and salads, sandwiches, and other specials. Meals from each offering include potato and onion Webb, split pea and ham soup, beef stew, baked codfish, and steak sandwich, but there’s plenty more you can order. Universal Studios’ Classic Monsters Cafe
Located close by the New York area is a quick service restaurant themed to the Universal Monsters. Fans of horror films and Universal Pictures’ past will enjoy the level of detail inside. If you decide to dine here, you can order a beef brisket sandwich, a jackfruit sandwich, pizza, baked beans, macoroni and cheese, and more.
Mel’s Drive-In
This is a popular quick service eatery located directly across from Universal Orlando’s Horror Make-Up Show. This ’50s drive-in serves chicken sandwiches, chicken fingers, burgers, fries, floats, and milkshakes.
