Forget the queue and cut it to get inside. Find a table (it's quite big in there!). Get seated and have 2 "Pastéis de Belém" for each person! Try one with cinnamon and one without and in the end get 2 more for me please! Note: these are not traditional "pastéis de nata", because their old recipe has "a twist" on them.

This amazing museum is great for all ages! It explains Lisbon before and after the 1755's earthquake, starting from its foundings. Each room leads you through time. Only 10 a minutes' walk from my Alfama apartments (Alfama Tejo penthouse studio and Alfama Tejo charming apartment). Can't miss this museum and, by the way, get a combination ticket to visit the Commerce Square's triumphal arch called "Arco da Rua Augusta"!
