Also a local favorite hike, the cascades are beautiful any time of year. You have two trail options which makes it great for hikers of any fitness level. There is a more scenic route, which is a little more strenuous for more active guests, or you can walk up the fire road for a quick, easier trip to the top!

There is a more scenic route, which is a little more strenuous for more active guests, or you can walk up the fire road for a quick, easier trip to the top!

A nice place to fish, take a leisurely walk, hike, trail run, or go mountain biking, it’s just a few minute drive from our house and a really nice spot to get outside. There’s a loop that goes around the pond if you want a more leisurely option, but there’s also tons of trail options if you enjoy mountain biking or trail running.

Food scene
A really popular local spot for brunch, Gillies is a vegetarian restaurant in the afternoon/evenings and frequently has live music. It might be a bit of a wait at brunch but it’s worth it!

1410 S Main StLocally owned (same owner as Lefty’s), they have a bar side that is more casual and an inexpensive food option. The other side is a little more expensive, but food is great no matter which side you choose! They also have local wine and beer options.

A beautiful winery off of Mount Tabor Road, it is extra special to us because this is where we got married. They have great food, wine, gluten free beer, a kids play area, and a beautiful setting. It’s also very dog friendly if you brought your pups!

3899 Eakin Farm RdA beautiful winery off of Mount Tabor Road, it is extra special to us because this is where we got married. They have great food, wine, gluten free beer, a kids play area, and a beautiful setting. It’s also very dog friendly if you brought your pups!
