We love coming here to walk our dogs. It's a nice trail right along Padilla Bay. Nice views, gravelled trail good for walking or biking. We've seen see otters play in the water here, and there are always logs of birds.

Mount Vernon offers a vibrant mix of office, retail, restaurants and professional services on the banks of the beautiful Skagit River.
Nestled between the San Juan Islands in the Puget Sound to the west and the Cascade Mountains with the scenic Cascade Loop drive to the east, Mount Vernon is known for its spectacular natural environment. This is a famous bridge with killer views! This iconic bridge opened in 1935 and, depending on the tide, sits about 18 stories above the water creating a spectacular frame for this saltwater canyon. Beneath the waves, ocean waterfalls swirl through the canyon at the height of the tide changes.
There are actually two bridges. Deception Pass Bridge extends from Whidbey Island to Canoe Island. Canoe Pass Bridge then span from Canoe Island to Fidlago Island. Collectively, they're called Deception Pass Bridge.

Kayaking
Steve and Corina offer a 2.5 guided kayaking tour around the area (either Larabee State park, Samish Island or Teddybear Cove). Beginners welcome! It's an easy, very scenic paddle with plenty of wildlife sightings (seals, bald eagles, herons, otters, porpoises, birds) and a great way to make fantastic memories with friends and family.
