Sightseeing
A visit to Scarborough would not be complete without going to see the castle. Take in beautiful views of the beach along the way along the cliff top, returning under the castles archway down the winding path to the beach. Just a 15 minute walk to the castle from our property.
Entry to the castle grounds is £8.10 per adult, however, you can see the outside of the castle and wall for free by walking along the perimeter (whilst taking in the beautiful views of South bay).

If you decide to have fish n chips on the beach, please be warned the seagulls will also take a fancy to your meal!

Great for keen walkers, our property is situated a stones throw away from the Cleveland Way, along coastal pathways (it can be very challenging in places) the pathway runs along the North Bay and will take you as far as whitby.

Great for keen walkers, our property is situated a stones throw away from the Cleveland Way, along coastal pathways (it can be very challenging in places) the pathway runs along the North Bay and will take you as far as whitby.
A beautiful place, highly recommend anyone to visit if they are in the area. About 30 minute drive from Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay has an array of little shops, cafes, pubs, a lovely little beach and if low tide you can walk along the beach to the next bay called Boggle Hole. Be warned however, Robin Hoods Bay is very steep in places!

A beautiful place, highly recommend anyone to visit if they are in the area. About 30 minute drive from Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay has an array of little shops, cafes, pubs, a lovely little beach and if low tide you can walk along the beach to the next bay called Boggle Hole. Be warned however, Robin Hoods Bay is very steep in places!
Beautiful place to visit, finish off a tasty cream tea/lunch by visiting their on-site waterfall. Approx 20 minute drive.

Having recently undergone a £2.7m refurb, it is home to a variety of local vendors you will find fresh bread, fruit, seafood, a number of cafes are also inside this wonderful building. Just underneath the market, you will find the vaults with approx 20 shops selling anything from vintage records, jewellery, clothing etc. It also hosts a number of music events throughout the year.
The Rotunda Museum is one of the oldest purpose-built museums still in use in the UK. The curved grade II listed building was constructed in 1829 as one of the country's first purpose-built museums. The museum houses one of the foremost collections of jurassic geology.

Originally used as one of the rescue boats in Dunkirk, since used as a pleasure boat taking passengers sightseeing along the scarborough coast. The Regal Lady is now in retirement, but you will find it moored in the harbour and open most days for drinks until late in the evening!

Situated in North Bay, an impressive statue "Freddie Gilroy and the Belsen Stragglers" created by sculptor Ray Lonsdale which overlooks the North Bay. He is made from weathering steel, the sculpture depicts Freddie Gilroy, a former soldier who participated in the liberation of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, sitting on a bench in his old age.
