It was/is also called Snowdonia Mountain Zoo as Colwyn Bay is only around 16 miles from Snowdon, a great view from thje mountain zoo, which is a walk 'uphill', so you might want to drive? There used to be a free bus from Colwyn Bay railway station, but this was stopped during covid restrictions, I am not sure if it will re-commence after 7th Aug

The beach is quite long and there is always sand on it, even when the tide is in. There aren't any signs 'to the beach', so the path is near the railway station and goes under the railway line, about 12 mins walk

Penrhyn Bay is just before you enter Llandudno, I think the photo is of Bodafon farm? which is also in this guidebook. The guidebook found this picture when I added Penrhyn Bay, which has an interesting walk by the sea

This is also known as Colwybn Bay Eirais Park Stadium - about 10 mins walk from the accommodation. Has concerts, some years ago, there was Tom Jones, Elton John as well as Olly Murs, Pixie Lott, Cover Drive, Little Mix. Not much happening this year due to covid. This years events (Olly Murs and Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra have been re-scheduled for next year.

Cheap all day wales bus ticket - £11.50 for a two people
There are also Arriva BusFamily Day tickets allow up to 2 adults and 3 children (between the ages of 5 to under 16) to travel together on our services. This means that a family can take the bus from a nearby bus stop to go to e.g. Llandudno, or even Snowdon - I will check it out, and maybe pay just £6.50 for one person, or a bit less for a couple or a family
